The Lander Art Center transformed into a mid-evil castle for the night.  People wondered - where, why, how?  One person said, "This is the best exhibit I've been to in 4 years."

We begin to fill the shelves, and the items might move 3 or 4 times before they find a home.

The Lander Art Center's Wonder Cabinet started two years ago, when Rene Schell, Lander Region Information and Education Specialist at the Wyoming Game and Fish visited a Wonder Cabinet in Jackson, WY.

She envisioned a space where art and science collide to make you wonder.  Together, the Wyoming Game and Fish, Lander Art Center, and PALS (Promoting Art in Lander Schools) received a grant through the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund to make this a reality.

Imagine traveling back in time some 500 years ago.  You land in the Hampton Court Palace of Henry VIII.  In the living room you see cabinets full of curiosities.  Items collected from all over the world mixed with art created by famous artists.

Our Wonder Cabinet mimics those wonder rooms, this was the time before museums.
