The Lander Art Center hosts eight exhibitions featuring painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and much more each year. Exhibitions rotate every six weeks and are scheduled approximately one year in advance.

Exhibition Opportunities for Artists:
  • Throughout the year, we offer multiple exhibitions which call for entries: the Member Show, the Red Desert Audubon Wildlife Art Show, and the Juried Show.  Please see the individual linked webpages for more information on how to apply.

  • Proposals are accepted throughout the year scheduled a year or more in advance. 

Medium and Technique

Various mediums and techniques make up original artwork. 
  • Paint—oil and acrylic
  • Watercolor—may be transparent or opaque variety including caseins, gouache and egg tempera
  • Printmaking—includes woodcuts, lithographs, aquatints, etchings, serigraphs and silkscreens)
  • Drawings—includes pencil, charcoal, pen, ink and scratch board
  • Sculpture—metal, stone, wax, bronze and ceramic
  • Fiber arts—includes weaving, knitting, crochet, quilting, felting, dyed fabric, batik and wearable art
  • Photography—silver gelatin prints and digital c-prints
  • Other media—includes leather-work, horse-hair hitching, stained glass, jewelry and collage
